Sao Vicente - Mindelo: Arrival to Sao Vicente which is home to the second largest city of Cape Verde then continue to Mindelo. Check-in to the centrally located hotel. Welcome dinner with life music.
Discovery of Sao Vicente: Today, you will discover its magic starting with the breathtaking panoramic road which leads you to the highest point of the island called Monte Verde (774 m) embracing the great view over Mindelo and by good weather conditions over Santo Antao and Sao Nicolau. Lunch in the popular restaurant to enjoy the good food and company animated by live music and dance performance (min. 15 people.)
Mindelo Cultural Experience: During your full day tour, you visit the highlights of Mindelo such as Praca Nova, harbor, Fish market. Lunch in a typical Cape Verdean restaurant.
Santo Antao: Early morning, take the ferry to Santo Antao, the greenest island of the Archipelago. A panoramic road, stops in a farm for a goat cheese tasting. Late afternoon, transfer to your hotel in the Ribeira Grande valley.
Tropical Forest, Ponta do Sol and Cabo da Ribeira: This morning, departure for Fontainhas, a small and colorful village where you will taste the typical cake, fongo de banana, and the excellent traditional coffee. Continuation to Ponta do Sol, later, continuation to Cabo de Ribeira for a grogue distillery visit and tasting. Back to Porto Novo and accommodation in a resort by the ocean.
West Experience: Departure for Cha de Morte, where you'll visit a primary school. Then stop at Lagedos, hometown of the famous poet, Baltazar Lopes. Visit of his house. Lunch in a sugarcane farm's restaurant. Continuation to Campo Redondo at the feet of the highest point - Tope de Coroa (1.979) - and walk to Bolona in a moon like scenery. Late in the afternoon, back to your hotel by the ocean.
Mindelo: Join a cooking lesson organized by your hotel or relax and enjoy the ocean (all optional). In the afternoon take the ferry back to Mindelo. Farewell dinner with live music in a nice restaurant in Mindelo.
Mindelo: Morning free time to enjoy the city beach Laginha or do some shopping in Mindelo.
Early afternoon transfer to the airport for check-in and departure.
Spontaneous stops based on client's interests for photography or a quick scenic gaze during the tour is allowed.
There is a possibility of witnessing a naming ceremony, join a church service or witness a funeral ceremony while tour is in session.
Worlanyo Tours' cancellation policy is applied as follows:
Cancellations made 60 days or more prior to the start of the tour will be charged cancellation fee of 15% of the tour cost.
Cancellations made 45 to 30 days prior to the start to the tour will be charged cancellation fee of 20% of the tour cost.
Cancellations made 25 to 15 days prior to the start to the tour will be charged cancellation fee of 25% of the tour cost.
Cancellations made 15 days or less prior to the start of the tour will be charged cancellation of 100%, meaning no refund.
Trip cancellation insurance is recommended.
Domestic flight tickets are non-refundable when alternate (land) arrangements are made.
No-Shows, late arrivals, voluntary changes or cancellations by travelers of tour days or services during a tour are non-refundable. Cancellation Insurance Is recommended.
Prior to the start of the tour, Worlanyo Tours reserves the right to cancel a tour, and will provide a full refund of all payments. Worlanyo Tours has never cancelled a tour but would do so at Its sole discretion should travelers' safety be of concern. Worlanyo Tours is not responsible for expenses Incurred by travelers in preparing for a trip which is eventually cancelled.
Once travelers are at the destination in Africa, Worlanyo Tours will provide comparable alternate tour arrangements if the cancellation of a particular tour is deemed necessary. Should travelers elect not to accept these alternate arrangements, this will constitute voluntary refusal of services, and no refunds will be given.
Pro-rata refunds will be made if alternate arrangements are not comparable to the original tour services, Please note: Domestic flights may be replaced by ground transportation, if the domestic flight schedule renders flights impossible within the constraints of a tour and/or the tour dates; In this case, the missed flights ac non-refundable as the ticket price will be used to make alternate land arrangements
Worlanyo Tours prices are stated in U.S. Dollars (USD), and are subject to change until a tour deposit is received. Prices do not include international travel to/from Africa, passport fees, entry visa fees, excess baggage charges, airport taxes, immunization or other medical fees, non-specified meals, alcoholic or other beverages, insurance, tips for tour staff, laundry and other personal expenses.
