The Eastern Region of Ghana is a rich blend of dramatic landscapes, historic relics and traditional cultures. The ancient blends with the 20th century way of way life, which gives tourists a good mix of exposure.
The driver will meet you at your hotel or residence in the morning and start your journey to the eastern Region of Ghana.
First, visit the wood carvers upon approaching the entrance of the Gardens of Aburi, where you would see local wood carvers carving wood into different symbolic forms and shapes. Proceed to Aburi Botanical Gardens, one of the most beautiful, peaceful and fascinating places in Ghana, where you can get a bulk insight on medicinal plants and their botanical names.
Visit the Boti falls, located in a quiet village called Boti in the Manya Krobo district of the Eastern Region in Ghana, The Boti Falls is an amazing waterfall which is embedded at the heart of the forest reserve at Huhunya, which is found about 17km North-East of Koforidua, the regional capital.
Take a lunch break and continue your tour to visit the Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa processing Institute, where you get to learn about the propagation and processing of Cocoa.
Descend from the mountains to Dodowa an old historical town where you can get a good sense of ordinary life in southern Ghana.
Observe the coffins, which are designed to represent an aspect of the dead person's life. In addition, stroll over the colourful market of the Town, which is mostly active and packed on Mondays.
Visit the TK Beads Industry and observe the century-old process where colourful beads are made from recycled glass. The beads stilll play an important role in the Krobo culture and are worn at different ceremonies and celebrations. There is a great glass beads shop at the premise as well. Optionally you can also decide to take part in a workshop.
Return to Accra and end the tour in the evening, where the driver will drop you off at your pick up point.
Spontaneous stops based on client's interests for photography or a quick scenic gaze during the tour is allowed.
There is a possibility of witnessing a naming ceremony, join a church service or witness a funeral ceremony while tour is in session.
Worlanyo Tours' cancellation policy is applied as follows:
Cancellations made 60 days or more prior to the start of the tour will be charged cancellation fee of 15% of the tour cost.
Cancellations made 45 to 30 days prior to the start to the tour will be charged cancellation fee of 20% of the tour cost.
Cancellations made 25 to 15 days prior to the start to the tour will be charged cancellation fee of 25% of the tour cost.
Cancellations made 15 days or less prior to the start of the tour will be charged cancellation of 100%, meaning no refund.
Trip cancellation insurance is recommended.
Domestic flight tickets are non-refundable when alternate (land) arrangements are made.
No-Shows, late arrivals, voluntary changes or cancellations by travelers of tour days or services during a tour are non-refundable. Cancellation Insurance Is recommended.
Prior to the start of the tour, Worlanyo Tours reserves the right to cancel a tour, and will provide a full refund of all payments. Worlanyo Tours has never cancelled a tour but would do so at Its sole discretion should travelers' safety be of concern. Worlanyo Tours is not responsible for expenses Incurred by travelers in preparing for a trip which is eventually cancelled.
Once travelers are at the destination in Africa, Worlanyo Tours will provide comparable alternate tour arrangements if the cancellation of a particular tour is deemed necessary. Should travelers elect not to accept these alternate arrangements, this will constitute voluntary refusal of services, and no refunds will be given.
Pro-rata refunds will be made if alternate arrangements are not comparable to the original tour services, Please note: Domestic flights may be replaced by ground transportation, if the domestic flight schedule renders flights impossible within the constraints of a tour and/or the tour dates; In this case, the missed flights ac non-refundable as the ticket price will be used to make alternate land arrangements
Worlanyo Tours prices are stated in U.S. Dollars (USD), and are subject to change until a tour deposit is received. Prices do not include international travel to/from Africa, passport fees, entry visa fees, excess baggage charges, airport taxes, immunization or other medical fees, non-specified meals, alcoholic or other beverages, insurance, tips for tour staff, laundry and other personal expenses.
