Arrive in Accra, Ghana.
Transfer from the airport to your hotel for a welcome drink and orientation.
After breakfast, undertake a sightseeing city tour of Accra.
Visit some of the highlights in Accra like the Osu Chief's Palace for an insight on the history of the Ga people.
Visit the Osu castle, Built by the Danes around 1659 and originally called Christiansburg Castle, Osu Castle was the seat of government until 2013, when the president and his office moved to Flagstaff House. It remains closed to visitors for the time being, and photographs are not allowed.
Visit the old colonial neighbourhoods of James Town and Usher Town, an interesting area to explore on foot. Also, visit the old fishing harbour, climb to the Usher Lighthouse, stroll through the fishing communities and optionally wander around the Mokola Market.
Continue your way to the Independence Square and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Mausoleum, the final resting place of the first president of Ghana.
Visit the Artist Alliance Gallery and the Art Centre, where traditional arts craftworks among wooden sculptures and paintings, and Ghanaian fabrics are displayed.
Take a break for a refreshing lunch at a local restaurant.
Resume your tour to pay a visit to the W.E.B. Du Bois Memorial Centre. The Museum is dedicated to Mr. Du Bois, a prominent American pan-African of the 20th century.
During weekdays, you can visit the workshop of Trashy Bags, where they make different types of accessories out of plastic trash.
After breakfast, depart early in the morning to the Akosombo Port for a cruise on the largest man-made lake in the world, the Lake Volta.
Get aboard the "Dodi Princess" yacht where you will dance to the sweet sounds of live highlife music played by the cruise boat resident band. Enjoy the calmness of the lake and bask in the beckoning beauty of the mountain scenery and surrounding.
Enjoy lunch on board the yacht, return to the port and continue to your hotel for dinner and relaxation.
There are different water related activities available on request. For example, rent a canoe or go for some swimming in a nearby pool, or undertake a guided boat trip on the river. A boat excursion to one of the islands in the middle of river could be organised.
After breakfast, enjoy the morning in Akosombo and visit the Akosombo Dam, which is used to produce hydro-electricity. The Volta Lake is cited to be one of the worlds' largest manmade water reservoirs, however unfortunately it is not able to meet Ghana's growing demand for electricity. There are guided tours available.
Continue your journey to Sogakope another town along the Volta Lake.
Arrive in Sogakope, check-in at your hotel and enjoy an early lunch.
After lunch, a possible excursion is to visit the village Tosukpo where you could possibly (on request) undertake an adventurous excursion to the wetlands of the Avu Lagoon, home to the only aquatic antelope, the Sitatunga, and a variety of exotic savannah and water birds. Walk to the picturesque village of Bludo which is surrounded by water and sugar cane plantations or engage in one of the other excursions in the Avu Lagoon area, like a visit to the local gin distillation and also interact with the indigenes.
Return to your hotel for dinner and relaxation.
After breakfast, explore more of Sogakope in the morning and depart for a scenic journey to Ada on the Eastern fringes of the Greater Accra Region.
Arrive in Ada, check-in at your hotel and enjoy lunch.
Visit the village of Azizanya on the estuary of the Volta River. The Elders of the village will take you through their fishing culture and explain how they are able to navigate the estuary which has an under-current of over seven knots.
Spend the rest of the day engaging in any of the following activities: canoeing, jet skiing, pedallo, or a range of water sports on the Volta River or simply relax and enjoy the view. (Rates for activities are not included in package price).
Return to your hotel for dinner and relaxation.
After breakfast, explore more of Ada and return to Accra.
Along the way, visit the TK Beads Industry and observe the century-old process where colourful beads are made from recycled glass. There is a great glass beads shop at the premise as well.. Optionally take part in a glass bead making workshop.
Continue your way to Accra for check-in and departure. Optionally, undertake some souvenir shopping in town before departure.
Spontaneous stops based on client's interests for photography or a quick scenic gaze during the tour is allowed.
There is a possibility of witnessing a naming ceremony, join a church service or witness a funeral ceremony while tour is in session.
Worlanyo Tours' cancellation policy is applied as follows:
Cancellations made 60 days or more prior to the start of the tour will be charged cancellation fee of 15% of the tour cost.
Cancellations made 45 to 30 days prior to the start to the tour will be charged cancellation fee of 20% of the tour cost.
Cancellations made 25 to 15 days prior to the start to the tour will be charged cancellation fee of 25% of the tour cost.
Cancellations made 15 days or less prior to the start of the tour will be charged cancellation of 100%, meaning no refund.
Trip cancellation insurance is recommended.
Domestic flight tickets are non-refundable when alternate (land) arrangements are made.
No-Shows, late arrivals, voluntary changes or cancellations by travelers of tour days or services during a tour are non-refundable. Cancellation Insurance Is recommended.
Prior to the start of the tour, Worlanyo Tours reserves the right to cancel a tour, and will provide a full refund of all payments. Worlanyo Tours has never cancelled a tour but would do so at Its sole discretion should travelers' safety be of concern. Worlanyo Tours is not responsible for expenses Incurred by travelers in preparing for a trip which is eventually cancelled.
Once travelers are at the destination in Africa, Worlanyo Tours will provide comparable alternate tour arrangements if the cancellation of a particular tour is deemed necessary. Should travelers elect not to accept these alternate arrangements, this will constitute voluntary refusal of services, and no refunds will be given.
Pro-rata refunds will be made if alternate arrangements are not comparable to the original tour services, Please note: Domestic flights may be replaced by ground transportation, if the domestic flight schedule renders flights impossible within the constraints of a tour and/or the tour dates; In this case, the missed flights ac non-refundable as the ticket price will be used to make alternate land arrangements

Prices do not include international travel to/from Africa, passport fees, entry visa fees, excess baggage charges, airport taxes, immunization or other medical fees, non-specified meals, alcoholic or other beverages, insurance, tips for tour staff, laundry and other personal expenses.
